AMC Foundry — Three Generations of Iron Casting Excellence

AMC Foundry is a family-owned gray and ductile iron sand casting foundry founded in 1973 in Cadereyta Jiménez, Nuevo León, Mexico. Now in its third generation of leadership, the company combines over 50 years of casting expertise with modern automated production and a commitment to long-term partnerships with OEM manufacturers in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Our History

AMC Foundry was established in 1973 by Eliud Gutiérrez and Arturo Garza, two founders who built the company through sixteen-hour workdays and close attention to customer needs — doubling production every two years in its early decades. Today, the second generation, Eliud Gutiérrez Jr. and Arturo Garza Jr., leads the company, and since 2013 the third generation, Andrés Gutiérrez and Arturo Garza III, has been actively involved in operations and business development.

The company's investment in automation began in 1995 with the acquisition of its first Sinto automatic molding machine, which doubled productivity overnight. AMC Foundry has continued investing in Sinto equipment ever since, today operating FBO-2, FBO-3, and FDNX-I molding lines in two flask sizes: 16×20 and 20×24. Melting is performed using Inductotherm induction furnaces with Dual Trak technology, ensuring efficiency and precision. Cold box cores are produced with Laempe L10 machines for complex geometries requiring high accuracy.

"The key to our success is preventive maintenance," says Eliud Gutiérrez Jr. A Sinto technician visits the facility twice a year to inspect and replace worn components — a practice that reflects AMC Foundry's broader commitment to process discipline, equipment reliability, and consistent quality.

Tooling and CNC machining are available through qualified external suppliers, providing customers with a complete solution from mold design to finished parts ready for assembly.
