Iron Foundry Equipment
AMC Foundry is a gray and ductile iron sand casting supplier located in Cadereyta Jiménez, Nuevo León, Mexico — 30 minutes from Monterrey. We serve OEM customers across the United States and Mexico with castings ranging from 1 to 70 lbs, produced on fully automated Sinto molding lines under ISO 9001:2015 certification.
Our equipment is purpose-built for high-volume, repeatable sand casting production. Every stage — melting, coremaking, molding, and finishing — operates with automated process controls that ensure dimensional consistency and alloy traceability across every heat.

How Automated Sinto Molding Improves Foundry Production
AMC Foundry operates three Robert Sinto flaskless automatic molding machines — the FDNX-1, FBO-II, and FBO-III — across two mold sizes (16×20" and 20×24"). Automated flaskless molding delivers measurable advantages over manual or semi-automatic processes:
Dimensional consistency: Sinto machines apply precisely controlled compaction pressure on every mold, eliminating the variation introduced by manual ramming. The result is tighter dimensional tolerances and fewer rejects across high-volume production runs.
Higher production rates: Automated flaskless lines cycle significantly faster than flask-based or manual molding, allowing AMC Foundry to exceed 450 metric tons of gray and ductile iron castings per month while maintaining consistent quality.
Reduced scrap and rework: Uniform mold density and automated mold handling minimize misruns, cold shuts, and dimensional defects — the most common sources of scrap in sand casting.
Repeatability for OEM programs: For customers running long-term supply agreements, automated Sinto molding means the first casting of a production run matches the last. This repeatability is critical for OEM applications in power transmission, fluid handling, electric motors, and agricultural equipment.
Operator-independent quality: Because mold compaction and handling are fully automated, output quality does not depend on operator skill or shift changes — a key advantage for customers auditing foundry processes under ISO 9001:2015 or PPAP requirements.
Inductotherm Dual-Trak Induction Melting
AMC Foundry melts gray and ductile iron using Inductotherm Dual-Trak induction furnaces — one of the most advanced melting systems available in the foundry industry. The Dual-Trak system operates two coreless induction furnaces on a single power supply, allowing one furnace to melt while the other holds or pours. This configuration delivers three key production advantages:
Continuous melting capacity: By alternating between two furnaces on a shared power unit, the Dual-Trak system eliminates the downtime associated with single-furnace operations. AMC Foundry maintains a steady flow of molten iron to the molding lines without interruption.
Precise temperature and chemistry control: Induction melting heats the charge through electromagnetic induction rather than combustion, providing precise control over melt temperature and chemical composition. Combined with real-time carbon equivalent measurement via the QuiK-Lab E Heraeus Electro-Nite system, every heat is verified before pouring.
Energy efficiency: The Dual-Trak configuration maximizes power utilization across both furnaces, reducing energy consumption per ton of iron melted compared to conventional single-furnace or cupola operations.
For OEM customers, this means consistent alloy chemistry, heat-to-heat repeatability, and full traceability — from charge materials to finished casting.
Sourcing Gray and Ductile Iron Castings from Mexico
For U.S.-based OEM manufacturers, AMC Foundry offers a nearshore alternative to domestic and overseas foundries — combining competitive pricing with the logistics advantages of a Mexican supplier.
Why source castings from AMC Foundry:
-
Location: Cadereyta, NL — direct access to U.S. border via Laredo and McAllen crossings. Shorter lead times and lower freight costs than Asian suppliers.
-
Capacity: Over 400 metric tons of gray and ductile iron castings per month on three automated Sinto flaskless molding lines.
-
Quality system: ISO 9001:2015 certified. Full traceability from charge materials to finished casting. Compatible with PPAP and OEM audit requirements.
-
Alloys: Gray iron ASTM A48 (Classes 25–40) and ductile iron ASTM A536 (Grade 60-40-18 and others).
-
Weight range: 1 to 70 lbs per casting.
-
Industries served: Power transmission, fluid handling, electric motors, agricultural equipment, HVAC, and industrial machinery.
